The home of the the Mycoid Virus the bane of the last Thargoid war. As the war against the Thargoids continued, 

it developed from a cutting-edge science 

organisation to the vanguard of humanity's 

struggle against the alien aggressors. 

Elite pilots were recruited from across 

human space and given the most advanced ships

and technologies to help fend off the enemy.

Records indicate that the disappearance of 

the Thargoids might have been down to a 

covert operation undertaken by the 

Intergalactic Naval Reserve Arm (INRA). The Thargoids had been infected by a virus

and a particular type of virus at that. 

It was known as the ‘Mycoid’ virus, 

and it was produced by humans. The Thargoid

hyperdrive technology was rendered useless

(the virus attacked plastic polymers in the

system) and there are indications that the 

Thargoids were also impacted, as their 

exoskeletons were composed of polymer like 

material.
